Unlike folks like PewDiePie or Justin Bieber, the arrival of Colonel Chris Hadfield on our shores doesn't elicit much of a fanfare. If that name is totally lost on you, then son, you best pay your respects right now with a cosmic crash course.
Born in 1959 in Ontario, Hadfield was first a Royal Canadian Air Force fighter pilot before becoming an astronaut, and the first Canadian to walk in space. Aside from running missions in space aboard the International Space Station, he became a beloved internet personality through videos posted on social media in which he chronicles life in space. Now retired, he's since written an excellent book offering insights into the space programme called An Astronaut’s Guide to Life on Earth.
