A drug syndicate that had been operating in the vicinity of Orchard Road was just dismantled yesterday when the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) successfully pulled off a drug bust in the heart of town.
Yesterday evening, CNB officers were deployed around a multi-storey carpark near Scotts Road to monitor a suspected drug trafficker. The trafficker — a 41-year-old Singaporean male — and a 39-year-old Malaysian man was spotted in the vicinity at about 7.10pm. The local man went to his car and the Malaysian man rode off on a motorcycle.
Another drug trafficker — a 42-year-old Singaporean male — arrived at the multi-storey carpark in a car with two other suspects. He left the carpark later on.
