As the oldest (and still operational) fire station in Singapore, Central Fire Station remains as a historic landmark that serves as the Singapore Civil Defence Force's base in the city.
The national monument however wasn't always as pretty as it is right now — after all, it was first built in 1908. Some architectural sorcery and careful restoration later, the fire station now accommodates a fleet of modern (and much bigger) firefighting and rescue vehicles, with a museum to boot.
