A wake of mangled metal was left behind across all eight lanes of Scotts Road on Wednesday afternoon after a ComfortDelGro cab driver lost control of his vehicle.
The damage caused was of apocalyptic proportions — the taxi collided into three other vehicles after exiting Claymore Hill beside Shaw House before finally coming to a stop in front of Scotts Square. Three casualties had to be conveyed to the hospital for treatment.
The Straits Times reports that the cab barged past a Toyota Alphard and hit a passing Hyundai Avante first. After crashing through the centre divider of the busy road in the shopping district, the taxi then hit a passing Volvo so hard that it Volvo's airbags were deployed.
