Let's face it, the land checkpoints between Johor and Singapore can get really, really nasty sometimes. Every day, thousands of Malaysians drive or walk to Singapore to work, choking up Woodlands Causeway and the Second Link with insanely heavy human traffic.
The Johor government has a suggestion to alleviate the strain at the immigration checkpoints on land: Water taxi services for passengers and vehicles to and from Singapore.
