
What a relief. Following the period of horrible heat and humidity over the last couple of months, the Southwest Monsoon conditions will continue to bring in cooler rainy days over the island for the rest of the month.
Widespread thundery showers can be expected in the second half of June, says the National Environmental Agency (NEA), as low level winds are forecast to blow in from the southeast or southwest. Expect short-duration thundery showers mostly in the late morning and afternoon, while thunder showers with gusty winds are likely to occur in the predawn hours and morning.
