Apple Pay finally landed in Singapore last month and already, nobody gives much of a flying hoot about it.
Much of its barriers to mainstream usage here come from the fact that Apple's mobile payment and digital wallet service only works for American Express card owners — plus there's just not enough participating stores which has the system in place. The fact that it looks supremely awkward when the tech doesn't work and that it's just not that hard to pay with cards/cash is the reason why Apple's Near Field Communications (NFC) feature is also referred to as Nobody Freakin' Cares.
