Following a very intimidating move carried out by the National Environment Agency (NEA) against a haze-linked Indonesian firm, the Indonesian government itself has spoken out against it.
NEA recently obtained a court warrant against a director of an Indonesian firm — said to be linked to the illegal haze-causing forest fires. Apparently, he had failed to attend an interview with the NEA, which had served him a Transboundary Haze Pollution Act (THPA) notice. With the warrant, the unnamed director will be detained for investigations the next time he enters Singapore.
