SCUM Cinema sure can churn out the coolest events. After the experimental SCUMSCOPE last year, the fest returns under a new name: Singapore Cult and Underground Film Festival. Four indie films span the genres of horror, comedy and documentary — check 'em out below.

For Kylie Bucknell, the worst part about being on home detention is returning to her childhood house and living with her mum, Miriam. A superstitious person, Miriam is certain their living quarters are haunted, but Kylie refuses to believe in the supernatural. That is, until she experiences creepy whispers and alarming noises in the night, and begins to wonder if it's her imagination... or something more.
