A stray dog's agony was painfully recounted on the Facebook page of Action for Singapore Dogs (ASD), which posted a photo of a canine with horrible wounds around its torso due to a steel wire trap.
In the outrage that followed, some fingers are being pointed at the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority (AVA), who are known to employ external contractors to trap stray animals.
TODAY reports, however, that AVA has not in fact engaged any such jobs to trap stray dogs in the Lim Chu Kang area recently, where the dog in subject — now called Nima — was found.
