The North East Line (NEL) get a splash of colour these couple of weeks as the Chinese New Year Themed Train rolls into stations till Feb 22.
The train itself is part of a collaboration between the Land Transport Authority, SBS Transit and the Kreta Ayer-Kim Seng Citizens' Consultative Committee.
Aside from being a simple festive ride, decorative features on the trains are designed to "incorporate social 'nudges' to encourage commuters to share their space graciously." The so called 'Prosperity Spot' in the middle of the cabin won't really give you wealth, but at least you're moving in to give space to other commuters.
