Posing for a group photo turned into a horrifying affair for a man who fell from height along Boat Quay yesterday.
TODAY reports that the man had been part of a group dining at the Riverwalk Tandoor, and had decided to take a picture outside the restaurant. Standing on elevated ground above an underpass, the group had their backs against the metal railings. Unfortunately, one railing was missing its top bar, and the man fell backwards.
An ambulance was called in around 1.49pm to help the Indian man in his 40s. While waiting for the ambulance, restaurant staff brought ice and towel to attend to the man, who was bleeding from his head.
He was conveyed conscious to Singapore General Hospital soon after.
