
As if the phenomenally high cost of owning and driving a car in this country weren't annoying enough, drivers here have been found to be especially frustrated by dangerous and inconsiderate behaviour of their fellow motorists.
A study by AIG Singapore revealed that 77 percent of the 800 respondents are displeased about driving conditions in Singapore — to the point that 53 percent reported feeling stressed on the roads.
The rise in impatient and reckless driving was said to correspond with Traffic Police data, which displayed that the number of speeding violations increased by 6.5 percent from 2013 to 2014. Cases of fatal accidents involving speeding also increased by 39 in the same period.
