Well this one's a weird case. Suffering from depression, a doctor at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) used a knife to threaten her own father's life because she believed that he owed God thousands of dollars from unpaid contributions he initially pledged to the church. Tham Kwang Wei, 43, was sentenced to serve 12 months' probation, TODAY reports. She held an 18cm-long knife to her 81-year-old father's neck in 2014, and even held his neck in an armlock and bit him on his left arm.
On Sep 30 two years ago, Tham went to the clinic of Dr Tham Ngiap Boo — her father — and demanded $150,000 from him, so she could return the money to God.
