The death of John Denley Nelson was a particularly harrowing one. On Christmas Eve last year, he came to the defense of a female colleague during a bar fight along Circular Road — but a punch from behind caused him to lose consciousness and he hit his head on the concrete curb. The 30-year-old stuntman at Universal Studios Singapore succumbed to his head injuries on New Year's Day, with his parents by his side at Singapore General Hospital.
