You can look forward to roaming the roads of Singapore's Civic and Central Business Districts with nary a car in sight when the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) launches their monthly "Car-Free Sunday" initiative. For six months starting from February 2016 onwards, URA is implementing full road closures around the Padang and partial road closures along Fullerton Road, Shenton Way and Robinson Road for you to roam freely, Channel NewsAsia reports. Not everyday mind you, just the last Sunday of each month.
The partial road closures will also allow bus services to run through their usual routes to minimise any public transport disruption.
