Hundreds of travellers were left stranded in the northern Australian city of Darwin after their Singapore-bound Jetstar flight was forced to land due to a technical fault. Flight JQ7 left Melbourne yesterday morning and was meant to arrive at Changi Airport at 4.50pm. A brief moment of turbulence however lead the captain to identify a "technical fault with one of the instruments on the flight deck", prompting diversion to Darwin as precaution.
The fault was with one of the three air speed indicators on the flight deck, according to a statement by Jetstar.
