The series of unfortunate events along Orchard Road malls continue. Yesterday evening, firefighters had to be called in to the Orchard Plaza carpark, where a fire broke out. TODAY reports that the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) were alerted to the incident at 6.50pm about a fire at the building's B2 carpark. The fire, involving discarded items, was put out by Orchard Plaza's security guards even before the SCDF arrived.
No evacuation needed to be carried out, and no injuries were reported.
