French chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, the man credited for revolutionising New York's dining scene, is opening a bar and restaurant in Singapore soon, as will a branch of fashion retail and concept store Dover Street Market.Both establishments will be located at Tanglin Village's Blocks 17 and 18, whose redevelopment has been awarded to COMO Lifestyle, according ot a press release from Singapore Tourism Board.
The area will be called COMO Dempsey. Apart from Jean-Gorges and Dover Street Market, it will also have COMO Cuisine, a new restaurant concept that will offer signature dishes from COMO properties around the world, and popular local Peranakan restaurant Candlenut by Chef Malcolm Lee.
No word yet on when these new spots are opening.
