Details have surfaced on the man who fell several stories inside a mall on Orchard Road last night: He was a 48-year-old Indonesian and police have confirmed that he has died, reports Today.
A witness Channel NewsAsia spoke with said he saw the man lying face down in a pool of blood. Camy Doc Bean, who was also there when it happened, posted this on Wisma Atria's Facebook page: "We heard a loud slam and then a woman's scream. Next thing we saw was a body sprawled in an awkward position on the ground floor of Wisma Atria," she wrote."It was the public who first responded by rushing towards the man and they decided to flip him on his back to apply CPR on him. It took a while for the building security to reach the scene and to start cordoning off the area," she continued. "The paramedics and police arrived much later and they took over to continue applying CPR and to cordon off other areas of the mall. I hope the man is ok. May Jesus watch over him and his family and I pray that the hope and peace of God will give strength to this man and his family as they go through this period," she wrote.
The victim was reportedly brought to the Singapore General Hospital. It is not clear if he was alone and Wisma Atria shopping centre has yet to issue a statement.
