We promise this is going to be the last of SG50 that you'll be hearing from us.
SG Heart Map, an SG50 initiative, has released the full version of Royston Tan's short film "50 First Kisses" (a six-minute version, with a different musical score, was released in March) and, well, it's going to make you feel warm and fuzzy inside. It follows intergenerational Singaporeans as they revisit parts of the island that hold special memories to them.
There's the father with his daughter who pays a visit to a 40-year-old tree at Katong Park, a couple married in Toa Payoh Town Park in 1980, a woman probably in her 70s standing on Temple Street while holding a photo from 1966, a son with his ageing father trying to recreate a photo taken at Haw Par Villa in 1968, and many, many more.
Happy SG50, everyone.
