A 38-year-old school bus driver that slapped another motorist while they were both waiting for the traffic light to turn green was jailed for a week today. The incident occured on Jun 25, 2015, along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3. The victim, 21-year-old Yoong Hing Jie, wanted to move into the left lane to enter Central Expressway but was unable to because Mahendran Mohanakrishnan was there.  Yoong continued driving and as he stopped at a traffic light junction below the CTE flyover, Mahendran parked the school bus, walked towards him and slapped him on the face. Mahendran also punched the van's windscreen, causing it to crack, reports The Straits Times. Mahendran's father was in dialysis, the court heard. He could have faced a maximum of two years and a fine of up to $5,000. Photo via LTA
