You can start your day early — or end your night late, what the hell — on Dec 6 if you live close to the Downtown or North East Line.
Channel NewsAsia reports that both North East and Downtown Lines and Sengkang and Punggol LRT will start as early as 2.40am to accommodate participants of the annual Standard Chartered Marathon, to be held on Sunday.
From Punggol, the first train to HarbourFront leaves at 3am, and 3.15am from the opposite direction. From Chinatown, the first train leaves for Bugis at 3:.30am, while from Bugis it starts at 3.33am. The services will operate at up to 15-minute intervals and assumes normal schedule at 6pm.
Services on the Punggol and Sengkang LRT systems will start as early as 2.40am.
Deadline for Standard Chartered Marathon registration is today. Hopefully, there won't be any last-minute wrong decisions on the day of the event, such as organizers adding 6.5 kilometers to the race, like what happened in Bangkok two weeks ago.
