Singaporean performer, composer and Orchard Road Christmas decor mastermind Dick Lee unveiled his life-size wax figure this morning at Madame Tussauds.
He had fun interacting with his “twin”, which is clothed in a suit, shoes and accessories that he donated.
Dick’s figure was created by a team of 20 studio artists over a period of four months. The figure will be showcased in the A-list area, alongside Hollywood celebrities including Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
Why Dick Lee? The Singapore Cultural Medallion awardee, who wears many hats, was voted the island's most popular icon in a Madame Tussauds campaign early this year.
“This is something I would never have dreamt would happen to me! I still can’t get over the fact that I have a wax figure at Madame Tussauds Singapore and I am absolutely thrilled about it. It is a huge honour!” said Dick Lee.
He now joins other Singaporean celebrities like Stefanie Sun, Fandi Ahmed, Zoe Tay, Gurmit Singh, JJ Lin, Huang Wen Yong and Feng Tian Wei, who hall have figures at Madame Tussauds Singapore.
