A young man has been sent to jail for the offence of having sex with an underage girl he just met at Changi Beach.
Mohammad Khairulsabirrin Harris, 23, was jailed for 10 months last week for having sex with a 14-year-old girl in October last year, The Straits Times reports.
He and his victim at about 7am on Oct 31, when Khairulsabirrin had been hanging out with his father in a shelter along the beach. The young man invited the girl to join them and chatted with her till 4pm. He learnt that she was a Secondary 3 student.
While Khairulsabirrin was sending her off, the two arrived at a handicapped toilet. He suggested that they go into a cubicle. She agreed, and they did the deed in the toilet, where they remained for about an hour. They went their separate ways afterwards.
Their twisted romp only came to light last December when the girl's aunt lodged a police report, stating that the girl had been talking about sex with strangers on Facebook.
Serial criminal Khairulsabirrin was dragged to court to face the music and was jailed for sexual penetration of a minor. His last stint in jail January was for resisting arrest and impersonating a public servant.
