The Color RunThe Color Run scheduled to take place at Sentosa this weekend has been given the green light to go ahead by both the police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force, who've been assessing the safety of their coloured powder.  The authorities had first expressed their worries over letting the event go on, especially since 10 people died and over 500 people were injured during Taiwan's Formosa Fun Coast explosion in June. The explosion and the subsequent blaze was reportedly due to dust explosion, when coloured corn starch used in a Color Play Asia party ignited.  The coloured powder for The Color Run here however has been guaranteed to be safe by both the SCDF and the police — but event organisers will still be required to demarcate clear zones for powder dispersal as a precaution, Channel NewsAsia reports. Personnel will have to ensure that areas are free of fire sources, and the use of dispersal machines will be prohibited.  Run on young people, and keep safe.
