These were just among the 800 items contributed by MINDEF personnel to the Ministry of Defence's first-ever time capsule which will later be put on display at its the first storey of its headquarters until, well, someone cracks it open in Aug 2065.
Also in the time capsure are an SAF50 commemorative book and 50 high-resolution photographs of MINDEF’s present surroundings.
“We selected meaningful items that would enable future generations of MINDEF/SAF personnel to better appreciate the achievements in the first 50 years and the progress that will be made in the next 50 years. The time capsule reflects our confidence in Singapore’s future,” said MINDEF Deputy Secretary (Administration) Han Neng Hsiu.

Sealing the time capsule which commemorates 50 years of Singapore's independence and SAF50. This capsule will be reopened in 50 years in August 2065.
