Frasers Centrepoint Malls' new four-storey project may be far from Orchard and the Civic District but it could very well be a destination mall in its own right owing to its waterfront view.
Six months before its scheduled opening, 90 per cent of its retail space has already been committed. Some of the key tenants are a 24-hour FairPrice Finest, a 1,500-seat Shaw Theatres (which will feature 10 halls and IMAX), as well as Singapore's largest Times Bookstore.
“The positive take-up underscores a healthy demand for retail space in this developing area. Many recognise the mall’s exciting waterfront positioning and its potential to anchor the entire district as a place of gathering," said Frasers' Centrepoint's CEO Christopher Tang in a media release.
Waterway Point is part of Watertown, an integrated waterfront residential and retail development, and is accessible through a 24-hr walkway from the Punggol MRT/LRT stations and bus interchange.
