Wall paintings by Sun Xun
If you missed Chinese artist Sun Xun painting live at Gillman Barracks at last week's Art Day Out, here's another chance and make sure you go this time.
The finished works are on display at ShanghART, along with 56 other works from the past two years. There are also a number of paintings painted directly on the gallery walls — which means that this is the only time these paintings will be on view!
Entering the space goes beyond your typical gallery experience: Mountainous landscapes cover the exhibition space, and owls are painted on the walls, looking like they might swoop out at any time. Kim Tay
See Sun Xun’s works in Unfounded Predictions at ShanghART Singapore (9 Lock Road, #02-22 Gillman Barracks, S108937). Till Oct 4, Tue-Sun 11am-7pm.
This column is in collaboration with The Artling – a curated selection of Art from Asia’s best galleries and artists, www.theartling.com.
