A 36-year-old man was arrested on Thursday for his suspected involvement in the theft of EZ-link cards from vehicles parked in Jurong East, Channel NewsAsia reports.
The suspect was arrested after the police received a report of theft at a carpark in Jurong East Street 13 at about 1.40am on Thursday. EZ-link cards, believed to have been stolen from the IU units of the vehicles, were also seized by the police.
The suspect will be charged in court on Friday with theft from vehicle and if convicted, he faces up to three years in jail, or a fine, or both.
