InteriorThe district of Boat Quay welcomes a new kid on the block, but don't expect it to be a boisterous establishment like the many that already inhabit the riverside.  Japanese eatery Chō Omokase is a much-welcomed respite from the hustle and bustle outside, and the interior of the 30-seater restaurant should speak for itself. Minimalist and inspired heavily by clean Japanese aesthetics, the casual eatery is helmed by Chef YK Chong, who's returned to Singapore after a six-year stint heading multi-award winning restaurant Bushido in Bahrain.  In true omakase fashion, customers are more than welcome to be open with the chef about their preferences, and he will deliver specially tailored dishes made from the freshest ingredients flown in from Japan, Australia and more.  Dine in zen at Chō Omokase, located at 14 Lorong Telok. It's open from Mondays to Saturdays for lunch (12pm till 3pm) and dinner (6pm to 10pm).  Photos: Chō Omokase
