Sneaky overnight parkers, the days of your free overnight parking are no more.
The decision was made to stop motorists from abusing the privilege, since the lots are sometimes used for extended hours by non-park goers.
According to The Straits Times, the National Parks Board will start charging a $1 per hour fee at 18 carparks across 12 parks starting this month,
The affected parks are in East Coast, Pasir Ris, West Coast, Changi Beach, Bishan-Ang Mo Kio, Woodlands Waterfront, Admiralty, Bedok Reservoir, Choa Chu Kang, Dairy Farm, Labrador Nature Reserve and Springleaf.
It is already in place at East Coast Park.
