SG50 fever permeates absolutely everything, and like the bubonic plague, you really cannot escape from its joyful golden clutches.
The latest case of SG50 delirium managed to infect ultra-luxury carmaker Rolls-Royce, who recently unveiled their one-off Ghost model specially made for the nation's jubilee celebrations.
In what must be the most opulent tribute yet, Rolls-Royce's SG50 Ghost Series II is a two-tone, hand built luxury car featuring a white exterior with a deep red interior, CNBC reports.
According to the carmaker, this is the first time they're commissioning a car to celebrate the anniversary of a country.
Other lavish embellishments include a detailed digital sketched of Singapore's skyline on the vehicle's tread plate. Even the Merlion makes an appearance — it's stitched into the four headrests inside.
While the exact price tag wasn't specified, you just need to know that you'll definitely need more than USD290,000 — the entry level price for a Ghost Series II model. If you've enough spare change on you (and if you love your country that much), the uniquely crafted SG50 car will arrive in Singapore next month, and will be the only one available for purchase.
