Looks like the new Police boats are worth the investment, after thirty-six illegal immigrants have been arrested for the offence of entering Singapore illegally, police said in a news release yesterday.
According to Channel NewsAsia, officers from the Police Coast Guard had detected an unlit boat sailing south of reclaimed land at Tuas las Saturday around 8.15pm. Various land and sea resources were alerted and intercepted the vessel.
Thirty-six people, most of whom were men, between the ages of 22 and 56 were on board when the boat was seized.
