Five new City Direct bus services will be launched progressively from September, initially operating from Marsiling, Woodlands, Pasir Ris, Tampines East, Simei, Yew Tee, and Yishun to the Central Business District during the morning and evening peak hours, reports The Straits Times."With limited stops and the use of expressways, commuters using these services would have comparable journey time to taking feeder bus or LRT and transferring to the MRT into the city," explains the Land Transport Authority.
The two services from Marsiling/Woodlands and Yishun will have three trips on weekday mornings and two in the evenings. From Pasir Ris, Tampines East/Simei and Yew Tee, there's two trips to the city on weekday morning and two return trips in the evening.
