We have no words for this despicable taxi driver who has yet to turn himself in to the police.
Elise Tay was jogging in her pleasant neighborhood on July 6 around 8:15pm when, as she was about to cross the road, a red Trans-Cab taxi hit her.
The impact was strong enough for her to spin and fall to the ground.
Tay uploaded the video (watch below, the accident happens on the 11th second mark) from the hospital where doctors told her she had a mild concussion and bruised rib.

6 July 2015 between 8.15pm- 8.20pm, Jalan Bukit Merah (Kampong Bahru Junction)Got into an accident while jogging around my area. The green man was on and the red hunchback Trans Cab ran me over somehow. He didn't stop or attempt to slow down and simply drove off. I'm just thankful that I was paying a little attention and wasn't running faster than I was. That said, I will find you (the driver). Because you're irresponsible and didn't bother to stop, I don't think you should be allowed to drive at all. I'm not sure if I'll be able to retrieve the license plate from the video but if anyone's around the area during that time and you saw anything, please let me know. P/S: Thank you to the kind gentleman and lady who had offered assistance, appreciate it. P/P/S: I'm typing this in the hospital with a mild concussion and a bruised rib but other than that, I'm fine (Yay!)

She has been replying to well-wishers leaving comments on her Facebook wall. "Many of you don't know me personally but your support is heartwarming. I'm recovering well now and the next step is really to try and identify the taxi driver. I'm just very thankful that I managed to escape with minor injuries but such recklessness should not be condoned. It could have happened to anyone else in an even more life threatening situation. If you know anyone who has any information, please do ask them to send me a PM. Thank you!!"
What's upsetting about this incident is that, according to Tay and some witnesses interviewed by Channel NewsAsia, the taxi driver did not even slow down or stop.
Tay was a victim of hit and run.
The incident happened in the junction of Jalan Bukit Merah and Kampong Bahru.
Trans-Cab has yet to release a statement about the accident.
