Businessmen are always the affable, gregarious sort, but this 62-year-old industrialist got a little too friendly when he introduced himself to a young woman he just met at a business exhibition by squeezing her boob.
Cornelius Khoo Hong Sin has since been sentenced to 14 weeks in jail after he pleaded guilty to the breast of a 21-year-old lady at the Marina Bay Sands convention hall last year during the Tax Free World Association exhibition and conference, The Straits Times reports.
Immediately taking a liking to the woman after her male colleague introduced her to Khoo, the businessman pulled her close to him to the point of discomfort. Though she tried to pull away repeatedly, Khoo kept holding on to her — keeping in unwarranted physical contact for a prolonged period of time — before molesting her.
The shocked woman broke free of him and left with her colleague, making a police report the next day.
In court, Khoo's lawyer maintains that the actions were entirely out of character, and that he was a loving father and grandfather who contributes actively to the community.
Since the incident, Khoo has written a letter of apology to the victim and offered to compensate her.
