Police pulled a body from the Rochor Canal on Saturday morning, after receiving a call for assistance at about 10.20am.
According to The Straits Times, the body was discovered in a quieter part of a canal along Crawford Street. The body was subsequently retrieved from the canal and was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
The dead man is reportedly a 50-year-old Indian Singaporean, but this has been classified as an unnatural death and investigations are still ongoing.
