School in Choa Chu Kang infested with teacher’s pests With an apparent rat infestation in the staff room of Unity Primary School in Choa Chu Kang, there’s no shortage of teachers’ pets. According to The Straits Times, the infestation has been ongoing for several months, with traces of rat faeces and urine decorating the tables and corners of the staff room. A circular titled Exercise: Goodbye Rats advised teachers to avoid the staff room until Friday and let a team from Dynamic Pest Control tackle the problem. The rodents have proved too much for the teachers to handle, having skillfully gnawed through plastic containers to eat their food. Chew on that, folks. Those rats must’ve been real smug about it. Old-fashioned glue traps were planted but the clever rats managed to evade them. Rats are smarter than you think, which makes them the perfect model student. Rat poison was subsequently used when the problem persisted, which led to a whole new stinky situation – rat carcasses strewn all over, with the original problem showing no signs of receding. A classroom pet, anyone? Rehoming these rodents may just be the rat-ical solution to combat the rat infestation.   Photo: Kai Schreiber via Flickr
