It's got celebrity chefs Anthony Bourdain and David Meyers absolutely raving and come the end of the month, Hong Kong's most famous wonton restaurant Mak's Noodle will be opening at The Centrepoint, reports The Straits Times.
Often referred to as the best wanton noodles in Hong Kong, period, its Chinese name literally means Mak's stingy noodles — referring to the miniature serving bowls that serve the wonton noodles, which are said to keep the noodles intact with flavour and firmness.
According to Wikipedia (yes, they even have their own page), their legendary noodles have been served to the likes of Chinese president Chiang Kai-shek and the recipe remains unchanged since the '60s. The restaurant's popularity initiated the proprietor to establish various outlets across Hong Kong, and very soon in Singapore as well.
