Yet again, the nation's 50th birthday has dramatically enhanced the proportions of another celebratory event and this time it's gonna make the Hari Raya Light Up even larger — nearly twice of last year's distance.
The annual light up will kick off on Jun 13, stretching 2.3km through Geylang Road and Sims Avenue, complete with games and activities in tribute to the Malay heritage and the cultural festive celebration. There'll be Chingay floats on display, performances by Malay celebrities and musicians, and other cultural discoveries.
Free rides on Hippo buses will also be available, where visitors can enjoy the lights up close. More details available on Our Kampung Spirit Facebook page.
