Singapore is losing reputaton for a lack of vibrancy, says 'Business of Cities' study

Thanks for noticing that we do know how to have fun in the Little Red Dot. Singapore ranked first among Asian cities — beating Tokyo and HK — in the newly released Business of Cities report by a London-based intelligence and strategy group. More significantly the Singapore brand is "beginning to lose its reputation for a lack of vibrancy among expats and tourists".  We work hard, we party hard. The top five best business cities in the region are Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Seoul and Sydney. In the world, we trail behind New York and London. The report analyses performances of over 200 cities based on factors like quality of life, infrastructure and transport, culture and lifestyle, as well as cost and affordability. "Singapore’s success story has taken on new dimensions as it overtakes Tokyo and Paris in a majority of leading indices for the first time," according to the study.  "It leads the Asian charge in higher education, mobility, science, broadband and technology platform indices, and is the world ‘number one’ city for business friendliness."  Photo: Lim Toh Han via Wikimedia Commons
