https://www.facebook.com/RBNewsEnglishAs thousands of Rohingya Muslim refugees flee Myanmar and Bangladesh by the boatloads, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) have come out to outrightly reject them from coming to Singapore.  In response to media queries, MHA remarked that Singapore will not be accepting refugees of people seeking political asylum due to the small size of the country with limited land.  An estimated 6,000 to 20,000 migrants are reported to be adrift in overcrowded boats, with 3,000 of them rescued or swum ashore in Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand over the past week. The foreign ministers of the threecountries  will be meeting to discuss the migrant crisis.  According to various international media and human rights organizations, Rohingya people are considered one of the most persecuted minorities in the world, as they have been denied Burmese citizenship since 1982, and a vast population continue to suffer in refugee camps and ghettos in Burma and neighbouring Bangladesh.  Photo: Rohingya Blogger Facebook page
