A four-day long operation launched by the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) last week took place in the heart of nine districts across Singapore, in which a total of 103 drug offenders were arrested.
The operation kicked off in May 4 and ended in the morning of May 8, covering areas including Ang Mo Kio, Bishan, Bukit Batok, Bukit Merah, Boon Lay, Choa Chu Kang, Jurong, Woodlands and Yishun. CNB officers managed to haul 24g of heroin, 13g of meth, 10g of cannabis and seven Erimin-5 tablets.
Offenders arrested included a 26-year-old suspected drug trafficker who was supplying meth to teenagers. She may face the possibility of enhanced penalties for trafficking to a young person, which carries a minimum of ten years' imprisonment.
Investigations on all suspects are ongoing.
