Amos Yee was offered a deal today by prosecution: Continue seeing a psychiatrist and you won't need to report to the police every morning plus we'll lower your bail.
As expected, the big bad blogger of Singapore said no.
According to a Straits Times report, Yee's mother had brought him to the Institute of Mental Health to see a psychiatrist on April 3, but he refused to continue his visits after two sessions.
Yee's bail has two conditions. He is not allowed to post anything online whiile his case is ongoing, and he is required to report to Bedok Police Station every 9:30am.
Yee's lawyers have argued that prohibiting Yee from posting online is tantamount to a gag order, but Justice Tay Yong Kwang dismissed that challenge.
Yee was arrested on Mar 29 after police reports were lodged against him for posting an an expletive-laden YouTube video attacking Christianity and the country's late founding leader Lee Kuan Yew.
Yee is currently being detained in Changi Prison.
