As part of a campaign to raise awareness about gynaecological cancer, some clinics in Singapore will be providing free Pap smear screenings for women.
The Singapore Cancer Society (SCS) announced today that a total of 155 General Practitioner (GP) clinics have offered to conduct free cancer screenings till Jul 31, Channel NewsAsia reports. The screenings are held in conjunction with the Women's Gynaecological Cancer Awareness Campaign 2015.
The SCS have stated that uterine cancer, ovarian cancer and cervical cancer remain among the top 10 cancers diagnosed in women here, and they've encouraged all female Singaporeans and Permanent residents aged between 25 and 69 or have been sexually active to make an appointment. The SCS Multi-Service Centre at Bishan will also be providing Pap smear screening.
Those who wish to partake in the screenings can check out the list of participating GP clinics.
