The Real Singapore co-editor allowed to head overseas on $60k bail to visit stroke-ridden fatherThings aren't boding well these days for the editors of sensationalist socio-political website The Real Singapore, which was shut down recently by the Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA). Co-editor Yang Kaiheng has been given permission to head to Australia to visit his father, who suffered a major stroke on May 1.  The 26-year-old Singaporean and his 22-year-old Australian co-editor/fiancee Ai Takagi face seven counts each under the Sedition Act and one count each under the Penal Code for not producing documents necessary for investigations.  Yang however had his bail amount tripled to $60,000 yesterday, The New Paper reports. Conditions of his overseas leave include a requirement to update his lawyer on his father's condition every three days and surrender his passport upon return on May 17.  The prosecution initially argued against the overseas leave as Yang is a permanent resident in Australia and a director of a company set up with his Australian fiancee. They withdrew their objection after an Australian hospital verified that Yang's father is in intensive care following a stroke.  The MDA ordered the editors to cease all operations of The Real Singapore and take down their social media accounts as it was believed that they fabricated articles promoting ill-will and hostility between Singaporeans and foreigners in a bid to increase traffic to the website and profit from it.  Takagi has reportedly offered to comply with MDA's request to provide information on the website's operations, including finances.  Photo: @channelnewsasia via Twitter
