Whoops, looks like someone made a public relations boo boo, and a pretty nasty one at that. Homegrown books and staionery retailers Popular Bookstore published a piss-poor tweet that kinda condoned the attack on Amos Yee yesterday, who was sucker-punched by a 49-year-old man as he was walking to the the State Courts.
Obviously the tweet has been taken down, but not before netizen Cassandra Sim screengrabbed it and expressed her disgust over the bookstore's moment of idiocy.
(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_GB/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));
Such poor ethics coming from Popular Bookstore (or their lousy social media team, whoever they are). I know you're...

Since the flak they've received over the tweet, they've apologised and put up a new tweet — still with Famous Amos cookies, which is a pretty stale joke to be made about Yee anyway.
Stick to selling textbooks and highlighters Popular Bookstore, current social issues aren't really your thing.
