London, stand by for a blast of Singapore's finest musical talents. Come June, the sultry smooth crooning of Charlie Lim and Gentle Bones will perform live in London as part of the SG50 initiative driven by Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and The Music Society, Singapore (SGMUSO).
Both singer-songwriters are the third and fourth local music acts to benefit from the Singapore: Inside Out initiative, which has already taken contemporary ethnic trio SA and indie rock outfit Take Two to Beijing — both of whom are currently playing in the Chinese city till Apr 26.
Seasoned blues-rocker Charlie Lim is no stranger to touring overseas, having played in various locations across Australia, Malaysia and London as well as playing to sold-out crowds in Singapore. His upcoming show in the SGMUSO Live promises new material from his upcoming double EP Time/Space, set for release on June 6.
Relatively newer but no less renowned, Joel Tan's music moniker Gentle Bones exponentially grew in popularity ever since the release of his chart-topping single "Until We Die" and he has been on a roll ever since, apexing in acclaim back in August when he performed to a sold-out venue during his album launch.
Those interested in performing in London alongside these two are invited to an open call by SGMUSO — application details available on their official website.
