Singaporeans really love travelling (and sometimes retiring) in Australia, and soon the thousands of locals down under will be able to use Australian ATMs to withdraw money from their own Singaporean banks.
As part of a partnership between Australian bank Westpac and Singaporean banks DBS and POSB, customers of DBS can access Westpac's ATMS in Australia and vice versa over here. There will also be no extra charge to use the ATMS in either country, though the 3 percent foreign transaction fee remains.
The 50,000 Singaporeans living in Australia and about 30,000 Australians living in Singapore will benefit from this new partnership, the banks stated in their press release.
